Dread Pit meets the Deathskulls

A 2000 point game at my buddy Norm's house where we celebrated the imminent end of stay-at-home-orders.  Possibly preemptively.  Who cares.  We had fun.  After this game we woke up to hear that 9th edition is on its way.  So that should place this in some sort of historical frame.

Dawn of War deployment, 4 variable objectives.  I took six dreadnoughts.  Note the Rogue Trader dread standing with the Forge World Deredo above.  I did that on purpose.

The Deathskulls.  There was this dread mob that I mostly damaged but took too long to dismantle.

The mobs advance.  They did a lot of mobbing-up-and-jumping-around activity with their two weirdboyz.

Stormraven, which should have been in hover mode, strafes the large war machine on the left flank.  Another thing that took me too long to dismantle.  In fact, I got it down to one wound by round two and then it stayed at one wound for the rest of the game.

A tough nob.  Stole that power-claw from a bad-moons.  There is lots of this  kind of detail in Norm's army.

"We have our work cut out for us, sir."  "Overcharge the plasma pistols.  And when we miss with those, let's charge him to take off that last wound and fail to do that as well."

Ironclad wades into the fray.  Not the wisest of ideas, but it had to be done.

A weirdly with a custom staff.

Lets get that warboss.  Or not.

Terminators, Librarian, Company Champion wade out to meet whirling saws...

...and augers and pistons.

The coolest rat in his shaven army.

Tokaido: logging in a game tonight with K, I won 76-69. Pictures are the game board and some of my collections.

This game is probably the least colonial game I own. K and I discussed how the "worst thing" you can do to someone in this game is prevent them from going to a space they want to go. Totally passive aggressive. Still, the 2-player game with the dummy is more strategic and possibly more aggro.

beep-boop bot pretty much done.

Fly Fishing

This picture is here so I can link to it.  It's a fish I caught on a fly, if you zoom in you can see the fly in the bluegill's lip.
