MDF at 8am

I can tell people I was doing flights early this morning.

I bought a wagon.

Not for anything but for terrain.  I could have built it myself, but there's a time in everyone's life when they'd rather pay someone for an oil change, rather than crawl under their 1994 Buick LeSabre.  That happened for me 30 years ago.

Dominoes

The problem with platforms is that no one would be caught dead on them.  No cover.  These dominoes found at the local dollar store should be able to pass for bricks that never made it into the mortar.

DBGold2021

Hi everyone.   I got to play a big game on Labor Day weekend, 2021.  It was three successive games of Necromunda, Cawdor vs. Escher.

Now, I could write a detailed battle report, but that wouldn't really hold your attention anyway.  Let's make things different, instead look for:

  • the time bolters came raining down from above
  • the time a whole building was on fire
  • the time three fighters were simultaneously on fire
  • the time the NPC decided he had had enough and walked off the board
These were narrative missions, and we had a great time.  Happy DBGold everyone.

Death Maiden and Queen bide their time behind cover.

The data  download secured by Cawdor is brought to the upload location (inexplicably located atop a shipping container).

The Stig Shambler takes up an advantageous firing position.

Standoff between bolter and poison blades.

"Just like old times..."

A Wyld Runner and her cat begin the hunt.

Disco inferno.

Grenades will be launched.

You can't trust a Cawdor to anything nowadays.

An Escher takes cover behind the barricade.

Queen winds up.

The Stig approacheth

Brothers in arms

Total insanity.

It was a great game, can't wait to re-tool my list so it does better (I pretty much bottled every game).  Super fun times.

Texturizing

Terrain project

These buildings were originally made by an old gaming friend Grimlock (I think, his real name is Todd).

They have good bones, foam-core glued together and reinforced with hat-pins.  They’ve withstood some abuse.  I rescued them from a donation made to a local game store, he had plenty more of these but I got four sections.  One of them is a cathedral-type that with a little cajoling might be good for the tower scenario.

I will try to post updates as I go.  But first things first is to remove the “sandbags” on the base.  I hope to lay down some faux-cobblestone and bricks in an attempt to match my 4x4 game mat.
