The Impulse Purchase.

Just got these in from EBay, most likely for my renegades. Six mortars, three heavy bolters. Three auto cannons. Five lascannons, six missile launcher arms.

Gonna have to de-sprue the Japanese infantry box I got from Rear Eschelon and get to work soon.

It is too bad, I haven't gotten the first full platoon fully painted yet.

Into the Hulk - a Misadventure.

Lor Lakanasar entered the hulk through two blown hatches.  Movement pings sounded immediately.  The enemy was closing in.

All hell breaks loose at intersections 1-A 1/A Beta.  Skitarii.  Blades and carbines.  Lor and his Honor Guard were whittled down by rapid fire.  Their armor did not save them.  Honorable Ben Simon was the first to fall.

The Vanguard Veterans, and Sergeant Mustern, slice their way through the blades, but fall to massed fire.

The Imperial Marine is left standing on a heap of dead bretheren.  Before he is overcome, he disintegrates to Skitarii gunmen and teleports off the hulk. 

Zone Mortalis. I'm going in against an unknown enemy, into a derelict Space Hulk.

I'm kind of amazed. There are only two "bolter marines" here. Everyone else has a special ranged or melee (or both) weapon.
