I just (well, a week ago actually) finished reading Legion by Dan Abnett. Thanks J for the lend, I'll get it back into your library soon.

It was fun to get inspired for my nascent Alpha Legion, but it may have created more questions than it answered.

What an Alpha Legion thing to say.

Anyways, I'd appreciate suggestions for my next book, 40k, 30k, or otherwise. I haven't read a ton of them, so whatever your favorite is would be really appreciated!

Good for you. I enjoyed that book. It's the only one I read that features Alpha Legion. I think they do pop up in some short stories as well.

The only Alpha Legion short I've read was called just 'Alpharius' from the 'Primarchs' compilation. It was easily the best of the book. An Alpha Legion team infiltrates an isolated base protected by their own Legion brothers. Includes hilarious stuff like one Brother bragging about getting aboard an Imperial warship by hiding inside a hollowed-out artillery shell.
