Blog List.

I discovered a new blog last night, I'm not sure who writes it but I think he's got a good grasp on Eldar. ;)

Thanks for the up!

My collection is old because I am an old gamer who is bad at selling things that I will never use. The beginning of my collection harkens back to when I was 8 and first introduced to Warhammer coming from making Airfix WW2 kits with my Grandpa. We were in the model store to buy paint when I saw a pack of old Ironclaw Squats. I thought they were super cool and my dark path into 40K went on from there.... :)

Right! I was first introduced to 40k in 1988, where a friend who would get all-the-good-games purchased Rogue Trader and a handful of marines. I bought a few orks, and we had a few chaotic floor battles using turn-radius-ratios and G.I. Joe and Star Wars toys as stand-ins for tanks (I wish I still had some of the Star Wars ones, as they had some small rhino ones that were very cool).

I have a hard time selling things as well. I've got well over 10,000 points of orks, but much more stuffed into boxes: broken, half-converted, mangled poor wrecks of things. But they're all family to me, I've considered selling my orks but its like selling children (except that I don't keep children in a box in the basement).

Would you like to participate in an email interview sometime in the future, where you talk about your 40k history and what it means to you? My first one is with Derling (another follower of this blog) so you'll get to see what I'm talking about.

This weekend I hope to play my first games of 6th edition. I'm pretty excited to actually play again, rather than just look at the book while scraping super-glue off my fingers.
